WE WRAP A WEEK FROM TODAY.... YAHOOOOOO....

Yep... we shoot our last two scenes starting Friday and ending Saturday... we have more to shoot after that.. but that's pick ups and coverage. We offically wrap on production. On a different note... Lance and I met to hammer out the details of the Gothic Cowboy ending and spent most of the day going over my notes for our next production.... BLOOD OF THE INNOCENT It's going to be cool... as you can see by the early designs... it's going to look gorgeous. The story is going to be an intersting romantic horror picture that has elements for most everyone. Lance and I are going to finish off an official re-write and then hand it off to some more of our close friends to get more feedback... Starting around July.. this site will be taken down and replaced with a sleeker faster site that tracks post-production.. i.e. editing/score/music/folley/festivals... I'm going to see if I can burn this entire site to disc as a production tool. Speaking of production toool... if you're going to be at this years San Diego Comic Convention... look for the Rogue Creations booth... we're planning on having our actors and the debut of our first trailer for the movie... phew.. lottta talking.. you go now....

There are new photos up in the photos section and I'll begin updating the journal again as we move closer to the end of the film. Yahoo... oh and if that wasn't enough.. our next film site has already launched. Pre-production has officially started on BLOOD OF THE INNOCENT and Lanc and I are going to meet later this week to hammer out the first official re-write. You ain't got nothin' on this.

Here comes the warm jets

Well. We're just a little over a day away from our weekend shoot. It looks like we'll be shooting the final Brick/Dex scene Friday night at 8pm. Hopefully we can contact Chris at Kadan and see if we can shoot Friday night. Saturday is more production work. Sunday morning/afternoon should be Toy Store rehearsal and production. Sunday (dusk) we shoot the end of the first ranch scene. Monday morning we shoot the actual Toy Store scene. Monday night at 6pm, we shoot the big country bar scene at In Cahoots in Mission Valley. Lastly, we're going to try and shoot Dex parking his car and hitting the truck near him. phew... it's a lot.. but if we finish it... oh... we only have one major scene left and that's slated for June... fingers crossed... Oh... and more pictures in the photos section...

GC Wraps three supporting leads

Unless you're closely involved with our production, you probably don't realize we've reached a milestone. We've wrapped on three of our main supporting characters. Ron, Lance and Steve finished their last scene about two weeks ago. These guys brought a lot to our small production. All of them became their characters for the movie. Thanks guys... we'll see you if there are any re-shoots or for ADR. I'm uploading some photos to the photo section of their last late night shoot. Vampyrates is inching forward and should be at the printer this time next week.

I'd say, you boys have had enough!

We finished another scene last night. It was great fun to shoot and its another scene in the can. We also got the 16mm footage back yesterday and it looks really cool. A week from tomorrow, we're planning on shooting Brick's final scene and possibly some of the Toy store. I think we have our second wind and we're racing for the finish line... wish us luck.
On a different note... I have two new interviews up that talk about my new comic Vampyrates and Gothic Cowboy. Click either the NEW INTERVIEW or the NEWEST INTERVIEW.

The Game nears an end

I've uploaded some photos from an impromtu arcade shoot that matches an earlier shot. I'm setting up the second to last shoot this week. It will be May 15th through the 17th with and emphasis on the 17th. On the 17th, we shoot the final country bar scene at In Cahoot's around 5pm and earlier in the day we're shooting the majority of the infamous Toy Store scene. Hopefully we can set up Sunday night, the 16th, at Kadan for the big scene between Brick and Dex. We also shoot the Blazzing Saddles homage this Friday with a bunch of old friends.. this shoot should make for some funny photos. After these shoots in May, there's the final horse ranch scene in June and the opening montage that doesn't involve the principal actors. Yay.

$#!? Paper Tales

We just completed a grueling three day shoot that provided a number of key shots. I'll be uploading descriptions and photos from the various shoots over the next few days. I'm attempting to finish my new comic, Vampyrates, this week... so bare with me. I just got nominated for another Harvey. Yay!!! We have two or three major shoots left and then we're done. We're hoping to shoot our big cowboy bar scene in the middle of May and the hush-hush ultra secret Toy Story around the same time. All these images that were trapped in my head are finally loose. I can't wait to show them off.

Stairway to Weed.

Forgive us if we've been MIA for awhile. We're really gearing up to finish off the film by next month and clearing our plates is our first priority. I have a new comic that I've written and drawn a new comic scheduled to go to print in the next couple of weeks and taxes are right around the corner. But enough of my woes, we're nearly finished... yeah. I've received some calls asking if we've wrapped.. the answer is no. We're aiming to shoot the 23rd through the 25th and the 1st of April through the 4th. Please let me know if you're out of town and won't be available. When we get specifics from everyone and all of the locations, we'll send out your call times. We're asking that everyone show up on the 3rd of April at Shooters for Sabbat's anniversary. We have permission to shoot that night and it should be a lot of fun. If you've been in the film, we'd like to have you show up. Okay.. I could keep going.. but I'll shut up now. Back to work.

HORSIES???

Wow... we actually shot some horse ranch scenes. We have about two to three days left of horse ranch shots... but at least we have some of them out of the way. There are more photos in the photo section... We're hovering around 85 percent complete with principal photography... this time next month.. we should be at 95.. fingers crossed... thanks to everyone... oh yeah.. one more thing. I worked as an extra/actor for America's Most Wanted yesterday. Look for me on Sunday. I'm the tall red headed red necked meth dealer with the Glock... ha.. that should be fun to see. Anyways, stay tuned. I'll be setting up more shots next week.

ARE WE DONE YET???

Close, so close. I kid you not. We have about thirty shots left. Of those thirty shots... 5 or 6 of those are what I would call, full scenes. The remaining shots are shots we can get here and there with a small crew and less than two actors. The difficult shots include the two horse ranch scenes, the country bar scene, the fight scene, the toy store scene and a number of hearse shots.... oooppss.. there I go again... giving the scenes away in public... oh well, you get the idea... I'm hoping to shoot the cowboy bar scenes and one of the horse ranch scenes in about a week and a half... I better get crackin'

GOTH THE CASBAH!

We're shooting a large scene at the Casbah tomorrow... Saturday the 24th. We'd love to have some new extras show up. Not to make light of extras we've had before... in fact, the more the merrier. So we're shooting tomorrow between 1 and 6. Either show up or give me/Jeromy a call or email. My phone number is 858-775-2253. This scene is a pool table scene that shows up early on in the film. So if you want to be in our little film.. this is probably your best chance... Thanks so much....

TEAM WORK!

Long time no hear. Hi yall. It's been awhile since last we talked. We're back to shooting and we only have 30 percent left to shoot. We're shooting again this weekend and that should bring us to 75 percent. Slowly but surely we're making a movie. If you've tried getting a hold of me lately... I'm sorry. I had one of my favorite pets die last week and on Friday I came home to my totalled car. Someone fell asleep and smashed into my car... I found out today the insurance company is calling it a loss... but forget all that... because we're in our final phase of the film!!! Yahoo!!! More news soon.
