DODGING BULLETS!
Phew!
Upon checking some footage from one of the major club scenes, it appeared
we were getting terrible fragmenting on our footage. Two worrisome weeks
passed and long story short, everything is looking great (knock on computer
screen). November has come and gone. We shot a number of scenes at Shooters/The
Flame/driving car scenes/hearse scenes/more work scenes/ping pong scene
(heh)... so I haven't been updating but we've been busily working. We're
now at 69 percent. We have two Julia/Shannon car scenes to shoot at
the end of December and a few pick ups and I see by years end being
75 percent complete with principal photography.
Hold on... we're almost done.

MORE LOCATIONS CONFIRMED!
I met with the owner of Shooters today and things are looking positive.
I'm restraining my excitement, because I can actually see the end of
principal photography is in sight. We need to lock down our cowboy bar
and our horse ranch... but other than that... we're looking good. More
info soon.

KADAN...KAKOOL...
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
I can't begin to tell you how good our shoots went at Kadan
and Lancers
Cast, crew and extras really outdid themselves on Wednesday and Thursday...
we have a real team effort going here. We have pictures up from Kadan
in the Photos section... hopefully, this evening we'll have some photos
up from Lancers.
By the end of next week we should eclipse 50 percent completion of principal
photography... stay tuned.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RON...
We're not only shooting at Kadan
on Wednesday night at 8pm... now we're also shooting at Lancers
on Thursday morning!!! 6AM!!! Get your sleep now. We still mainly need
extras for Wednesday night... but if anyone can't make that or are up
for both... we now also need extras for Lancers.
Kadan is a goth
club shoot.. so dress appropriately. Lancers
is just like it normally is... cool neighboorhood bar.

EXTRA, EXTRA...
We need extras!!! We're shooting at Kadans
again this coming Wednesday night. We need people to show up at 8:00pm.
We're going to shoot for two hours until Darkwave
Garden starts at 10pm. We'll continue shooting coverage as the club
continues. So we need you to show up in your best goth gear or at least
some black clothes. Go ahead and e-mail Lance
or I to let us know you're
going to show up.

MOVING RIGHT ALONG...
I've uploaded some pix of our shoot at Kadans
to the Photos section... so check those out. We should be shooting a
good portion of next week. So get ready for more info...

42 PERCENT DONE!!!
Okay, I broke down and did some math... heh...
We're 42 percent through the script. By the end of October, I estimate
we should be about 60+ percent complete. fingers crossed. We shot at
Kadans on Saturday
morning... note to self... 6am is not in the gothic dictionary... We
were short about ten extras on Saturday and I think I'm going too plan
the rest of the goth club shoots at night. Good news... we made it work
and it looks really cool. Thanks to Chris and Josepha for putting up
with us.
Friday morning was an excellent shoot at Pinnacle
Peaks in Santee. This was a fun shoot because everyone was so into
it. Louise and her crew at Pinnacle
Peaks are amazingly kind people and the crew loved the food. So
much to say.. so little time.. Thanks everyone and get ready for another
shoot on the 15th of October.. it's a Wednesday night and tentatively
(I still need to talk with Bryan)
we're planning on shooting from 8pm to 10pm
and possibly later... more on that later...

CALL FOR EXTRAS...
We need some gothic looking extras Saturday
morning at Kadan...
Kadan's is on 30th and adams. We'll be shooting early in the morning
so email me to let me know
you're coming, if you haven't already. We're also shooting Monday night,
but no extras needed... just Julia and Shannon. Check out the updated

FIRST GOTH CLUB SHOOT...
Okay, now that we've cut our chops on the
first third of the film, we're finally shooting our first Goth Club
scene on October 4th. We've shot 75 percent of the second act, so now
we're ready to grapple with act one. Act one is 95 percent Goth Club.
We'll be shooting at various clubs around San Diego in October and November,
so please don't be alarmed by our presence. If you happen to be at a
club while we are shooting and you don't want to be on screen, just
let us know, we completely understand. We need extras for the October
4th shoot... but keep in mind we start shooting at 6am. If you'd like
to be involved, please contact Lance
or me as soon as possible.
We're looking for all goth types... so if you want to be in a San Diego
goth movie... climb on board..

TWO THIRDS TO GO...
We had an icredibly productive weekend. That's
actually an understatement... we kicked ass. Ron out did himself by
letting us shoot an extra day at his home.. but it was worth it... we
also completed the coffee shop scene on Thursday... Thanks to Christina
and Rudy at Lestat's. We have our first goth club scene coming up on
October 4th... so if I've contacted you about being an extra or you're
interested in the hectic business of movie making... let me
know.

WE SHOOT THIS WEEK...
I'm waiting to hear back from Rudy at Lestat's...
but we should be able to shoot there Thrusday morning. Saturday we shoot
the massive "Kirk's Haus" scene.. which will feel good to
complete. Then Sunday we pick up a number of montage and Ian odds and
ends. Tomorrow, Lance and I are going to meet with the people at Pinnacle
Peaks... I've heard a number of good things about the place and a number
of people said I should see if we could use it for the movie. fingers
crossed... and if everything goes according to plans.. I'll finally
be talking to Bubba over at Lancers... I've been so busy, we haven't
had time to lock down a time... again.. fingers crossed.
We shot some test footage the other night at Thrust...
very promising... I'm going to talk with Bryan again and see about talking
to the owners about shooting during the day and at night... ahhh.. logistics...

PHASE ONE COMPLETE...
Okay, so Phase one of the movie is finito...
We're starting Phase Two this Thursday... Phase Two runs September through
October... if you could, please check out the updated calendar.

know if you have any kind of conflict with the schedule. I'll be contacting
everyone over this next week.. so be patient until I get to you. We'll
be shooting test shoots for the goth club scenes all through September
and hopefully finish off all of those scenes in October. A number of
these locations may change.. so keep checking back here and the calendar.
