TWO MORE SCENES DOWN...
We shot two more scenes this weekend. Grant's
kitchen and Julia and Shannon at the Salon. We're really getting to
a point where everyone picks up the slack for everyone else. My confidence
is really starting to solidify... which is good.
Today marks the end of the first phase of principal photography. We
have two weeks off now and when we come back to it... the script will
be complete and storyboards will accompany the information cast and
crew recieve, so that everyone can have an idea where we are at and
what we need. We're about three shoots behind schedule.. but we made
the schedule before we knew what we were doing, completely. Thanks
to everyone involved and get your rest.. because the end of August
and more specifically SEPTEMBER are going to be busy.... keep checking
the site for updates and photos. Bozzi.. I need that head shot...
I'll try and update the virtual calendar
as soon as possible.

THREE SOLID DAYS...
We had a most procutive weekend. Here's
a quick run down...
Saturday the 26th... We started by shooting the video store scenes
with Julia and Dex... then we shot the two of them watching the videos...
we then moved onto the beach and amusement park scenes. We headed
home after all of that.. and then headed up north to shoot Dex's bedroom
scenes.
Sunday the 27th... Saturday night went so late, I had Lance shoot
the Dex waking and Dex miserable scenes.. Ian Julia and Lance then
headed down so we could shoot... Dex's work scenes... Good friend
Glenn helped us out with the location.. which was amazing... we also
shot one of Dex's boss scenes... the lunch tables there were actually
better and more like how I envisioned when I was writing the script..
so our flexibility lent itself.. so we had the entire crew and cast
show up and meet us for the lunch scene shoot... I was worried that
we were losing to much light, but when I later viewed dailes.. everything
looked remarkable.
Monday the 28th... Monday morning we headed over to the Muse. The
Muse is a really cool record store on 30th and University... We shot
Grant's work scenes there.. Carollyn, the owner was incredibly helpful..
we then returned home to shoot some car scenes... we ran into some
bad weather and some reflection problems... but overall.. we learned
a lot. We also picked up a rain scene that I hadn't figured out yet..
but again... leaving room for ingenuity... works wonders... We shoot
Grant's Kitchen and Shannon's Salon this weekend... nice....

COMIC CON IS OVER...
Wow, what a crazy two weeks. Lance and I
have endured the blitz of the San
Diego Comic Con. We've wrapped on one of our characters (Weed's
scenes are done) Now we have another huge weekend shoot this weekend.
We've lost two locations but we're scrambling to replace them by the
weekend. This should only effect Bozzi and Jesse and Jimmy... (hi
Bozzi Jesse and Jimmy) we'll try to keep you all updated. If you're
wondering about the scooters to the left.. well then go read the journal
page...me out .
07-02-03 - AIR
SHANE SAYS IT ALL...
As you can see by our Assistant Director's
leap... we're pretty with our progress. I
just want to say thanks to everyone involved this past weekend. We
accomplished a lot. Three scenes... about 12 pages of script.. WOO
HOO!!!! Okay, I'm trying not to sound too excited.. I'll save that
for the journal.
Check the calendar
for shoot dates and rehearsals in July and August... we have the San
Diego Comic Con coming up in two weeks.. but we're still working
on the movie in some fashion.
06-18-03 - FILMING
HAS BEGUN...
Yes, we've shot two shots and I haven't
been updating the journal
Seriously.. I'll be updating a bunch from now on. So far so good..
but we have a three day shoot coming up.. so get ready... check out
the calendar
for more information... Yay....
06-03-03 - READY,
STEADY...
Filming starts soon, so we'll be sending out rehearsal
dates and actual shoot dates soon. Stay tuned for further information....
The online journal should
be updated every other day from here on out... so check there for
news also.
05-05-03 - THANK YOU.
We have a cast. It's not complete... but we have
all of our main characters. It took us four months, but we've finally
decided on a cast and we're ready to begin principal photography.
Rehearsals are next... so stay tuned and start checking our online
calendar!
Thanks go to Scott Hinton for setting up such a fabuloso site. If
you don't have the proper login, then you're just not on the need

We start shooting on the 18th... we might sneak
a shoot date in before then... schedule and script prohibiting.

a hillarious and warm movie finished by October... and we'll let you
know about the premiere once we're done.

04-25-03 - CINCO DE MAYO!!!
Last nights reading was awesome. So we'll be deciding
who will be playing who in the movie over the next ten days and decide
on the final cast. May fifth is when we'll let people know. If you're
still interested in reading.. we may have some rehearsal dates we
can fit you in. Contact Lance
and he'll let you know where and when.
04-23-03 - TOMORROW!!!
We're having our final casting tomorrow. What
does that mean? We're going to spend the next week finalizing the
cast to begin shooting in May. Sooo... if you're interested in being
in the film, come on by to the Park
Manor between 7 and 10pm. Here's a map.
In case you don't know... we need
actors, dancers, extras and crew. We will be working with SAG actors..
but it is a lot easier if you're not. We won't need dancers immediately,
but it would be good if we got you on file so we can keep you updated.
In terms of extras, we need all kinds of different looking people.
If you look particularly interesting.. chances are we want to see
you tomorrow evening. We're going to have a pretty small crew, but
if you have experience with lighting sound or video... we'd love to
talk to you.
And lastly.. just a reminder if you're thinking
of quiting your day job. We can't pay you... this is a labor of love
for everyone... the people that will be paid are taking cuts from
their normal rates and most of them are deferring pay until the film
is complete.. I just like to let people know this up front so we don't
waste each others time. We are considering paying a limited number
of proffesional dancers... the budget will determine if we'll be able
to do this or not.

04-04-03 - ROLLING FORWARD!
Yippee!!! Things are really starting to move here at GC central.
For starters, check out the new logo on the left
side of the screen... pretty cool, huh? Thanks to Daren
Bader for the beautiful artwork. Look for shirts and stickers
soon.
We have another casting/reading/meeting set up
for the 24th of April. That's a little less than three weeks away.
It's on a Thursday night at the Park
Manor in Hillcrest. We'll have people read and share info between
7:00 and 9:30pm. Then between 9:30 and 10:00, I'll brief everyone
on the kickoff of production. Whoo Hoo!
There will be an online calendar soon, so check
back to see the schedule soon.
And last but definetly not least, our Producer

has made his presence known with the first of many emails to keep
you up to date on everything. If you didn't recieve an email from
