9:51 PM - A little over two hours till New Years.... Yay humans, we didn't blow ourselves up yet. Tomorrow I'll post the photos from the reading and I'll comment further on it. More people called and e-mailed today... way cool. I have to re-color some pages now... yeah... re-color... check here for further details....

Merry Christmas,

Jeromy

Today's recommended film "Unfaithful" I rented this movie because Adrian Lyne (Jacob's Ladder, Fatal Attraction, Nine and half weeks, Flashdance, Foxes) directed it. I liked the film a bunch. Richard Gere and Diane Lane were great... I also watched Tripple X today.. that movie is so laughable... it was dumb as dirt... cool snow boarding scene though.

5:35 PM - Hi... way to busy to talk about the film today... but I'm getting plenty of phone calls and e-mails from people interested in the film. Exciting. My cold is still kicking my ass so I'm off..

Merry Christmas,

Jeromy

Today's recommended film "Guilty By Suspicion" Okay film with an important message. Don't trust the government... especially J. Edgar Hoover or Joseph McCarthy. Do you ever get the feeling that some day we'll be describing the beginining of the millenium as Ashcroftian... like we describe the communist witch hunt as McCarthyism?

11:08 PM - I never made it to the clubs last night... The Gulls wasted the Condors 7-2... six unanswered goals in the second period. I think they've won 8 games in a row. Yeah! So I got home and fell asleep immediately. I think that was a good thing.. . because I was fully rested for the reading this afternoon. The whole thing went on without a hitch. I kept this reading/casting small to judge what it will really be like once people start hearing about this. I have a ton of pictures and stories to relate about how well things went, but I'm pressed for time. I'm coloring these Arthur Adams pages (great comic artitst) and they're killing me. But his artwork is worth it. So look for some pictures from the casting/reading on Thursday... I should be fully recoverd by then.... and just to give you an idea how well things went... I'll be holding a larger casting/reading on February 8th at the Sixth and Penn Theatre... Yay... back to work...

Merry Christmas,

Jeromy

Today's recommended film "When The Sky Falls" great film.. just finished it.... Joan Allen should be doing more.. I love her as an actress... the movie is based on a true story...

11:50 AM - Lance, Julia, Klod and I headed out to Club Therapy last night to hand out more flyers for the reading on Sunday. First we stopped in at the Crypt to check out the after holiday sales... Guy showed up and after I tell him how much I like this hat that I've found.... he up and buys it right from under me own nose... What a Dick!!! After insulting his ancestors for about ten minutes... he lets me in on his little joke... he bought it with the full intention of giving it to me in the first place....aw... now I'm the dick. Guy's rad and I have a cool new hat. While we were at the Crypt, someone was caught trying to steal a butt plug... man, that's low... I would of kicked down the money just to save the guy the embarrassment... but he was a jerk for trying to steal it in the first place. We had much fun and I ended up buying Klod some cool shoes and I got the new issue of Skin Two and a cool hat from my friend guy. I wanted one of those leather biker hats.. but that's a different story. So we made our way over to The Flame and made our way in. I soon realized I don't go to Therapy enough (the club or my shrink.. ha) I forgot how much I like the music. I started remembering all the fun I had when Therapy was down on Sports Arena by Tower. Anyway... I put out more flyers.... checked out the club... shot pool... damn Guy is getting good... I really need to move my pool table out of the garage.... again... off the subject... so I'm thinking I really need to find a way to shoot some of the scenes from the film at the Flame..... my other friend Lance (Pualani, who's also an actor in GC) had mentioned that I should shoot there... I think he's right. We've shot pool there a bunch... but I always saw other clubs in my mind when I thought about the movie.. we'll see.... I'll take anything with the budget I'm working with. I saw four of five specific people last night that I've always seen as dancers/extras in the film... but I have such a weird feeling about approaching people I don't know and saying "You look cool.. will you be in my movie." I'll get over it... I did see my friend Marc... I've always seen him as the DJ in the movie... he sounded really interested when I asked if he'd like to be involved..... Yay...that would be fucking great. Overall, things seem to be running along at a decent pace. I've received a lot of replies to my flyering and e-mails... so that's a good sign. Oh yeah, and before I go... if you didn't know, I recently spent two weeks down in Rosarito in the end of October at the Fox Studio... I was an extra in the new Russell Crowe film, "Master and Commander".The trailer is now up at Apple... so go check it out.. I know I'll be a dot or a blur on film or more likely I'll just be on the cutting room floor... but it's still good stuff..

Merry Christmas,

Jeromy

Today's recommended film "Witness" in respect of Master and Commander director, Peter Weir.

10:28 AM - I have a wicked cold and I need to finish a Grendel issue and a Terrific Tales issue this weekend (I color comic books for a living). On top of that, I have my first public reading/casting in two days. I'm nervous and excited at the same time.... eeewwww. I went with a couple of friends last night to Club Eighties in North Park. I met Brian Pollard (it's his club). He's really cool and he let me put out some flyers for the reading on Sunday. Lance, best friend-producer-screenwriting partner was there with me and we talked over a lot of issues important to the film. He pointed out that I need to learn to delegate more... which I do. My friends are going to save me on this film. Guy and Reagan kicked my butt at pool so now I have to add revenge to my to-do list. Tonight we're going to Club Therapy to pass out more flyers. The response so far has been smiles and chuckels... which is good, considering I am trying to make a romantic comedy. Oh well, I should go... I need to finish coloring Grendel and then work on the script revisions and the budget... oh crap.... I need to finish some more Stormwatch pages (another comic I color) otherwise my editor Ben will kill me...

Merry Christmas,

Jeromy
